White House versus Fox News
Why isn’t the world calling for the forgiveness of Luis Armando Pena Soltren, who hijacked a plane 40 years ago like they are the rapist Roman Polanski. What is the difference, they both broke the law. When did society start to think they could play judge and decide what laws to enforce and which one not to. Both crimes are hideous and need nothing less than 100% justice.
Additional comment, doesn’t our leadership have anything else to do with their time other than take verbal shots and valuable resources to wage war with Fox News? They don’t have time to sit down with General McCrystal about Afghanistan, but they have time to wage a domestic war with Fox News that will add no value to the current times we are in. Obviously, our leadership is threatened by Fox News because Fox News creates transparency. I believe Fox News constantly gets higher viewer ratings because it truly represents the majority of what this country believes.
Final comment, our leader has never served in the military, nor has he owned his own business. His list of position accomplishments include: Community Organizing, State Senate, and U.S. Senate. We all know that running a business and even the military requires a leader to take valuable input from their key personnel…Lord help us when our nation’s leader become self-dependant enough to stray from what the bible says in Prov 15:22…plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed.
Thank you for you service to our country and your valuable input General McCrystal, even if it falls on deaf ears.
Riding the Liberty Ice Hockey Zamboni
A few weeks back, my kids were able to ride the zamboni’s during the intermission of an ice hockey game featuring Liberty University vs. Davenport University. This year for the first time, the LaHaye Ice Rink mounted additional seats to the zambonies for someone to ride along during intermission. It was opening weekend, and the head coach of Liberty hockey, Kirk Handy, was gracious enough to hook my children up first with the rides.The kids absolutely loved being center of attention for about 10 minutes while the ice was fixed for the upcoming period. In front of about 1,000 spectators, the college kids were waving, giving thumbs up or the peace sign to them as they went around. All of the students were very kind and made the experience one to remember for the kids.
The Accelerated Moral Decline of Our Country
As I continue to watch the nightly talk news TV shows such as CNN or Fox News, as well as listen to talk radio driving in my car, it is increasingly depressing seeing the rapid direction our country is quickly taking. Everyday, I just ponder…”What in the world are people thinking”. Billy Currington’s country song has it right, “God is great…and people are crazy”. If you don’t believe me, just manage or lead people in any capacity and you will quickly come to the same conclusion. We all know that our country has been on a moral decline for decades; however in the past year things seem to have hit a new accelerated pace with the decisions coming from leadership. What should I or you expect when our leadership has made appointments such as Kevin Jennings, Safe School Czar, who’s past as a school teacher is anything but “safe” for our children. Or the celebrating of the 60th anniversary by the Empire State Building as it illuminated in red and yellow to celebrate China’s 1949 communist revolution…only one of the bloody Communist uprising in our world’s history. Or how much of Europe and the Hollywood community portray Roman Polanski as a wayward genius who has fallen victim to American bigotry; instead of the rapist he is.
