Many Continue The Fight To Stop Abortion
In a recent article in the Liberty University student newspaper, Southeastern Director of the Center for Bioethical Reform (CBR) Fletcher Armstrong spoke to a group of Liberty University students as part of SGA’s week-long “Reclaiming Others’ Sacred Existence (ROSE)” event.
“We have to change the hearts and minds of the American people. There’s not a consensus in the country to stop abortion right now,” Armstrong said. “We need to convert more people to a pro-life position.”
Likewise, as reported by Fox News on November 20, 2009, a coalition of Christian leaders — including the country’s Catholic bishops — put President Obama on notice Friday that it would vigorously fight any health care reform legislation that allows federal funding for abortions.
“A health care bill can be a great, great blessing to our country,” Philadelphia Archbishop Justin Rigali said during a press conference Friday on Capitol Hill. “But we make a distinction between health care and killing.”
More than 150 Christian leaders, most of them conservative evangelicals and traditionalist Roman Catholics, issued a joint declaration reaffirming their opposition to abortion and gay marriage and pledging to protect religious freedoms.
The 4,700-word document, called “The Manhattan Declaration: A Call of Christian Conscience,” was unveiled one day before the Senate is expected to consider it’s sweeping health care bill that includes a measure permitting abortion funding.

Over-Indulging in political correctness!
In my opinion, I have to say, we are much to politically correct in this country today. The tragic Ft. Hood shooting, is one example of how this country has bent over backwards to be politically correct with “special” groups. Mass murders and horrific events don’t happen daily, but making concessions in an attempt to be politically correct does. I am not saying that being
politically correct leads to mass shootings, but I am saying we have become to tolerant across the board. Concessions are made by businesses, organizations, churches, and other entities daily for “special” groups in order to avoid possible lawsuits. I do believe that the intent of being politically correct is a positive one, but everything needs to be done with moderation. In the case of political correctness, I believe we have over indulged to the extreme side. We need a balance here!
In an article by Fox News, it says “The issue here (Ft. Hood tragedy) is that there’s a political correctness climate in the military. They don’t want to say anything because it would be considered questioning somebody’s religious belief, or they’re afraid of an equal opportunity lawsuit”.
We would be kidding ourselves if we think this type of soft approach happens only in the military. Time and time again, situations across this country are handled with “kid glove” instead of dealing with them based on the facts and reality of the situation. I am not generalizing and saying everyone in these “special” groups uses this to their advantage, but there are a percentage that do.
Interesting Unemployment Stats
9% That’s an unemployment figure. That’s how high our current leadership said our unemployment figure would go if we did not quickly pass their stimulus plan earlier this year.
7.9% That’s how high our leadership said unemployment would rise if we would just give them over $750 billion dollars to stimulate our economy. So the American people did, and ….
9.8% That’s our latest unemployment figure. Looks like the stimulus is working, .8% higher than had we not injected the stimulus. Some say this figure would be 17% if we excluded workers who lost their full-time jobs and settled for part-time work.
#1 As in Rule No. 1. Elections have consequences.

White House versus Fox News
Why isn’t the world calling for the forgiveness of Luis Armando Pena Soltren, who hijacked a plane 40 years ago like they are the rapist Roman Polanski. What is the difference, they both broke the law. When did society start to think they could play judge and decide what laws to enforce and which one not to. Both crimes are hideous and need nothing less than 100% justice.
Additional comment, doesn’t our leadership have anything else to do with their time other than take verbal shots and valuable resources to wage war with Fox News? They don’t have time to sit down with General McCrystal about Afghanistan, but they have time to wage a domestic war with Fox News that will add no value to the current times we are in. Obviously, our leadership is threatened by Fox News because Fox News creates transparency. I believe Fox News constantly gets higher viewer ratings because it truly represents the majority of what this country believes.
Final comment, our leader has never served in the military, nor has he owned his own business. His list of position accomplishments include: Community Organizing, State Senate, and U.S. Senate. We all know that running a business and even the military requires a leader to take valuable input from their key personnel…Lord help us when our nation’s leader become self-dependant enough to stray from what the bible says in Prov 15:22…plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed.
Thank you for you service to our country and your valuable input General McCrystal, even if it falls on deaf ears.
