Five Steps to determine what Online, Distance University is right for you!

Taking advantage of online, distance education can help land the career you want—all in a format that fits your life, your schedule, and your finances.

No matter what online school you decide to enroll with, landing the career of your dreams takes planning.  The most important thing to remember is, no action means no change.  With everything to gain and nothing to lose, make today your day of change! Below I have outlined five steps that are important as you decide what school is right for you:

1. Decide to do it!
Examine your life and current career and determine the key areas where change is needed and then make the commitment to change them.

2. Educate yourself on what returning to school involves
Often the hardest part of making a change is the unknown. Contact the admissions department who will be happy to answer any questions you have about earning your degree as well as all the benefits you can expect from your education!

3. Set a realistic educational goal for yourself
Determine the best plan of action according to your situation. If you can only manage one class per term according to your schedule, then do it! Making goals achievable can only happen if they are realistic to your situation.

4. Take action and enroll
You’ve decided what you need to do and understand how to go about it—now is the time to set your plan into action. The admissions representative will help you decide which classes to take and will walk you through your first registration.

5. Stay consistent with your plan
You’ve already achieved success by making the decision to change the direction of your life and career. Now your attention should be focused on following through with your plan, and consistency is the key. But remember, everyone at one point or another can use some help and encouragement.
