Some of you may be wondering how I came about starting this website. Starting this website came about with an evolving set of circumstances. The living vision name and logo was something I came up with shortly after becoming a Christ follower. Not real sure were the name came from, but the pray, focus, execute, envision model was something God revealed to me about one year after accepting Him. As a leader, I was praying and thinking about a way to motivate people, yet motivate them because we are Christians and we should have a recipe for our lives that glorifies God. In my own experience and watching others, I have come to the conclusion that Christians are just as guilty of feeling entitled at work, ministry or relationships as non-believers. Sometimes they may even be worse. As a leader and trying to confront this culture of entitlement, God revealed to me the pray, focus, execute, envision model. This was a perfect model to confront the entitlement issue. If anyone was entitled it certainly was Jesus, yet this model focuses on what Jesus did for us in the moments leading up to His death and including His death. Jesus gave us the perfect recipe for success in all situations and He lived it out in those moments before and during His death on the cross. As you read over the points, think of how you could incorporate this model into your situations and relationships. The beauty of the perfect model from Christ is that it can apply to ALL situations.
Pray
Start every day with prayer for my co-workers and team members, as well as for the success of the Distance Learning Program—I believe that it is only through Christ that our organization will succeed. Next, I pray for the top leadership of Liberty—Chancellor Jerry Falwell Jr. and the other individuals involved in high-level administration. In the Bible, the Acts II church did everything from work to worship with prayer, and they did it continuously and in community. What priority are you putting on prayer for the co- workers God has blessed you with? Leadership sometimes calls for difficult decisions that affect the co-workers God has placed around you. The co-workers God has entrusted under my leadership are also His treasures, and I take seriously the responsibility God has given to me with His people.
You are nothing except for what you are on your knees in front of God. Be in constant prayer.

Focus
I try to remain focused on the tasks at hand each day, and write down on paper four or five of the most important tasks requiring attention in order to prioritize. I try to avoid getting side-tracked by other non value-added tasks that may present themselves, and instead set them aside for a down period. I feel I have a responsibility to be self-directed and to stay focused in order to best lead my teammates and my staff. I realize that if I lose my own focus, I guarantee my teammates and staff will slip as well. My desire is to focus on investing in others spiritually so as no student, co-worker, or business vendor will walk away from God because of a negative experience they had with me. Of course, as we all are human, we will inevitably make mistakes. However, through God’s grace, I purpose to learn from my mistakes and fix them instead of ignoring them.

Execute
There finally comes a time when you have to execute—I can pray and focus all I want, but without execution, nothing will happen. Christ Himself had to execute a plan—He prayed in the garden before He was arrested (for Himself, His disciples, and finally for all believers to come), He focused on the task placed before Him, and then He began to follow through and execute the divine plan that God had in store for Him. I believe that when Jesus went to the cross, while our salvation was an incredible product of His death, His sacrificial actions were first to glorify God. In the same way, I believe that my work and execution of the plan each day should first be to glorify God. By placing focus on the Lord, I am then better able to meet the needs of our earthly leaders.
Envision
In closing, I continually look forward to future events and avoid reaching a plateau—instead I strive toward achieving higher goals and exceeding expectations in my life, both personally and professionally. Why? Not out of a desire to merely reach earthly goals, but more importantly because it is a habit I will create in my life that I can apply toward any task God has for me, both now and in the future—be it work, family, or ministry opportunities. This is a theme that I can apply in my life regardless of my vocation, and it will allow me to best glorify the Lord within any role He may choose to place me.Send me an email at kennedy14ron@yahoo.com and share your living vision with me.
